American Graphic Design Awards


2008
In 2008, the American Graphic Design Awards recognized six MVP Marketing + Design projects for their design creativity.  The MVP winners were among the top 10 percent of the more than 10,000 competing entries submitted by agencies and corporate art departments around the world. 2007
In 2007, MVP was ranked in the top 10 percent of the more than 10,000 companies competing for top honors and recognized by the  American Graphic Design Awards for its client work in medical device, scientific measurement and b2b marketing and design. 2006
In 2006, MVP received an  American Graphic Design Award for its creative efforts on behalf of the 3M Industrial Business Division. The 3M catalog project, created expressly for Grainger, the leading broad-line supplier of facility maintenance products serving business and institutions in North America, features hundreds of 3M products displayed in a creative, colorful and informative manner.

2005
In 2005, MVP won an award from the American Graphic Design Awards for its work on behalf of 3M, Microsoft and the following clients:

3M Office Supplies Division, Boise Office Solutions Catalog:  Helpful office pointers and unique photography draw in recipients of this marketing communications catalog and supplement the featured 3M Office Products.

3M Office Supplies Division, "Catalog Flaggin" Brochure:  MVP incorporated photos of inquisitive customers along with Post-it® brand samples of flags, tabs and page markers to help catalogers turn browsers into buyers.

MICROSOFT NAVISION 3.7 BROCHURE:  Distinctive B2B marketing communications imagery and graphic styling convey the valuable benefits of Microsoft's Enhancement Program to product users.

Common Hope 2005 Calendar:  MVP created an engaging direct mail promotion that would help this nonprofit organization raise funds for impoverished communities in Guatemala.

ACHIEVE!MINNEAPOLIS ANNUAL REPORT:  For the second year in a row, MVP designed this annual report to reach past and prospective benefactors to help Minneapolis Public Schools.

2003
In 2003, the American Graphic Design Award competition invited almost eleven thousand US-based advertising agencies, graphic design firms, corporate in-house creative departments and publishers to submit entrees. MVP won recognition for its development of the brand identity and packaging of the 3-D PET FOOD PACKAGING of caged bird and small animal foods for D&D Commodities Ltd. The new design system features a prominent three-dimensional 3-D® logo, oversized illustrations, and eye-catching colors to guarantee increased shelf presence. Also, MVP's design of the Regency Beauty Institute logo and letterhead received honors.

CREATIVITY ANNUAL AWARD

2007-2008
First held in 1970, the Creativity Annual was one of the first publications to showcase leading-edge design. The annual international competition is one of the most prestigious in the industry, and The Creativity Awards competition continues to honor the outstanding work done each year by creative professionals in every discipline. Awards are based strictly on the quality of the submissions, not the size, nor reputation of the firm. MVP’s work on behalf of Cincinnatus, a multi-sector consulting firm, has been consistently recognized as one of over 2,800 entrants from 45 states and 44 countries, according to the editor and awards director.

CINCINNATUS CORPORATE CAPABILITIES BROCHURE ('08) and LOGO ('07) won consecutive Creativity Annual awards. Based on an MVP brand development and marketing communications action plan, the new corporate capabilities brochure and logo, employ custom illustrations projecting Cincinnatus’ commitment to strategy, leadership and solutions. The integrated Cinncinatus brand identity system, consisting of brochure, logo and Web site, also won a 2008 American Graphic Design Award.

Davey Awards


2006

In 2006, MVP won a Davey Award for its Web site development work on behalf of the Minnesota Sleep Institute and Tekran Instruments Corporation.

The site features the company’s legendary co-founders, a “countdown to compliance” timer and a Flash sequence that explains how Tekran can help companies become mercury compliant by the 2009 EPA deadline.

WWW.MINNSLEEP.COM
The patient friendly and clinically informative site allows visitors seeking information on sleep disorders to take the “Epworth Sleep Scale Self Test,” tour the MSI facilities or learn what to expect on their first visit to the clinic.

The Davey Awards is an international creative award focused exclusively on honoring outstanding creative work from the best small firms worldwide. The Davey Awards honors the achievement of the “Creative David’s” where strength comes from ideas, intelligence and out-of-the-box thinking, not a “Giant’s” budget.

American Corporate Identity Award


2004

In 2004, MVP won three American Corporate Identity awards in logo design for:

CHURCHILL YACHT PARTNERS, a Euro-style international yacht brokerage and services company located in Newport, Rhode Island

ATS LABS, the leader in providing the highest quality microbiology and virology testing services to manufacturers and users of antimicrobial products

NATURNORTH TECHNOLOGIES, a leader in the formulation of unique organic chemical compounds used in healthcare, nutraceuticals, and other industries

2003
In 2003, MVP won an American Corporate Identity award in package design for:

WILD DELIGHT™, a line of gourmet wild bird food, which is distributed nationally to independent retailers, as well as supermarkets.

Package Design Council Gold Award

Multifoods, Inc. chose MVP to differentiate the GOLDEN TEMPLE BRAND packaging of basmati rice from a multitude of others on the world market. Multifoods' objective: expand distribution from ethnic to mainstream US supermarkets. MVP's new imagery helped Multifoods reach its goal, and garnered the Package Design Council Gold Award for best food packaging—in the world!
